For iPhone
Photograph the menu. Posso reads it with your allergies, intolerances and diet in mind, tells you which dishes are fine, which ones to ask the waiter about, and translates the rest.
Download on theApp Store 3 menus and 3 labels free, no account. How it works
You set up your profile in a minute: severe allergies, mild ones, how you eat, what you would rather avoid. Every menu is read against it.
A photo, a few pages in a row, a PDF or a link to the restaurant's site. Share it to Posso from Safari, Mail or Files.
When a dish might hide something, like pesto, chocolate or a long sauce, Posso says what to ask instead of guessing.
Scan a product's barcode or photograph the ingredients. Severe allergens turn it red, traces ask for caution.
Menus in any language come back translated into English, Italian, German, Spanish or French, with the original one tap away.
Price
Every iPhone gets 3 menus and 3 labels for free. After that, Posso Pro reads as many as you like.
Prices in euro; the App Store shows the equivalent in your currency. Subscriptions renew until you cancel them in your Apple Account settings.
Support
Write to posso@tild.io. A real person reads it, usually within a day or two. If a menu was read wrong, a screenshot of the result helps a lot.
Open your profile (the person button), tap Unlock Posso Pro, then Restore, signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with.
It can happen: the answer comes from an AI model reading a photo, and menus rarely list every ingredient. Treat it as a first pass, not a guarantee, and for an allergy always check with the staff. Tell us what went wrong at posso@tild.io, it is how the reading gets better.
Take the photo again, closer and straight on, with the whole page in good light. A long menu reads better one page at a time: add the pages in a row and Posso reads them together. If the restaurant has a PDF or a web page, share that instead.
Your profile and history live on your iPhone. Swipe a read in History to delete it, edit or clear your profile from the person button, or delete the app to remove everything at once. To remove what our server and our usage statistics keep about your install, write to posso@tild.io.
The app and its answers come in English, Italian, German, Spanish and French. It reads menus written in any language.
Privacy policy
Last updated 10 October 2026
Posso is made by Tild S.r.l.s. There is no account and no advertising. To read a menu the app has to send it, with your profile, to an AI model, and this page says exactly what goes where.
Your allergies, intolerances, diet, dislikes, notes on your allergies, the dishes you marked as liked and, if you typed one, your first name are stored on your iPhone. Allergies and diets are health information. They leave the phone in one way only: written into the request that reads a menu or a label, so the model can check the dishes against them. They are used to produce that answer and for nothing else.
When you read a menu or a label, Posso sends the photo (resized), the PDF or the text of the page, together with your profile, to our server on Cloudflare (posso-api.tild.io). The server passes the request to OpenRouter, which forwards it to the AI model that reads it: Google Gemini or, as a fallback, Anthropic Claude. The answer comes back the same way. Our server does not keep the photo, the text, your profile or the answer. OpenRouter, Google and Anthropic process the request to produce the answer, under their own privacy policies (OpenRouter, Google, Anthropic).
When you share a link, your iPhone opens the restaurant's page itself, the way Safari would, and then sends its text, PDFs or menu pictures as above.
To run the free trial and keep costs in check, the server stores small counters in Cloudflare's storage, under a random identifier the app creates on your phone: how many menus and labels that install has read, how many requests it made today, and whether a given read was a menu or a label. The daily counters and the per read ones expire after two days. It also keeps the total spent on AI models per day and per month, for all users together. It stores no photo, no text, no profile and no answer. Cloudflare sees your IP address to deliver each request, like any web server; we do not store it.
The random identifier is kept in your iPhone's keychain, so reinstalling the app does not start a new free trial.
When you scan a barcode, the app asks Open Food Facts, a free public food database, for that product, sending only the barcode number. If you confirm the product, its ingredients are read against your profile as described above.
Posso sends anonymous usage events to our own analytics service, Logga: for example that the app was opened, that a read finished, how long it took, whether it came from a photo, a PDF, a link or a barcode, the verdict, how many dishes were found, or that the paywall was shown and a purchase went through. Events carry the same random identifier, the app version, the phone's language and region setting, and whether the app came from the App Store or TestFlight.
They never contain photos, menu text, dish names, links or your name. Your profile appears only as counts, such as how many severe allergies and diets you set and which answer language you picked, never which allergies or diets they are. We use these events to find bugs and to see which features are used.
Posso Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your card, your name or your Apple Account. RevenueCat, our purchase provider, receives an anonymous app user identifier and the receipt Apple provides, to show prices and confirm the subscription. When you have Posso Pro, the app also sends Apple's signed transaction to our server with each read, and the server checks Apple's signature itself to lift the trial limits.
Your history (up to 200 reads, with the original photos or PDF so you can check a dish against the page) and your profile are stored only on your iPhone. There is no iCloud sync. Like other app data, they can be part of your iPhone's own backup. Things you share to Posso from other apps pass through a folder the app shares with its share extension and are removed once read.
The camera, to photograph menus and labels and to scan barcodes. Photos you pick from your library or files you choose are read only when you choose them. Notifications, optional, to tell you when a long menu is ready. If a menu shows a Wi-Fi network, Posso can join it when you tap it, and iOS asks you first.
Delete reads from History, change or clear your profile in the app, or delete the app to remove everything it keeps on the phone. To ask about, or remove, the counters and usage events tied to your install, write to posso@tild.io.
